What paltry excuse did they use? I think I've had them all... harrassment, impersonation, using another person's account, suspicious behavior (yes, that was the last one).
Meh, I was having some dumbarse discussion with someone about smoking. Even though I wasn't abusive, the Powers That Be obviously thought otherwise.
Shaun Lyon's had it in for me for a while now. Yeah, that sounds paranoid of me, but he threw a paddy ever since I told him that DWF admin are too slow in merging/deleting threads. He accused me of being offensive to every DWF admin, blah blah blah.
Which I wasn't. I was just making a fairly unimportant point of view. The DWF, eh? It's like walking on fucking eggshells.
Oh no, they didn't talk to me. I got more or less the same exact "goodbye" message you did. I'm going on a lot of guesswork and assumption here. Though it doesn't take much to guess or assume that Shaun Lyon is a miserable bell-end.
The fact that you've returned to the DWF/OG so many times is quite heartening. I'll be back there myself before too long, I'm waiting for the dust to settle a little more... and for my computer to stop having me automatically logged in to that stinking "you have been banned" message!
It IS a downer. Seriously, back when I first got banned for 'harassment' (and I believe Spara when he said it wasn't him), I was shattered. Seriously. I just crashed out on the sofa. Life seemed worthless. My main avenue of communication, comedy, happy fun time feelings... all gone. And the week Rise of the Cybermen came out!! Oh, the rejection, it stang, it really did.
But as my new status became known, a handful of posters I knew bothered to keep in contact with me. Jared, Bernie, erm... well, there were a few others like Nazim and DrLorenzo, but they kind of drifted away after the "bring back YOA" campaign failed.
Still, it gave me an excuse to turn away from Chathamania. Get a job. Blog. Eventually I found another email account and snuck in as "The Big N". But something gave me away - maybe the way I kept bagging my true self out as plausible deniability? And I was off. Again.
Miles Reid Lobatto came to my rescue. Disgusted at the state of the forum, he allowed me to use his id, Manmiles. That went OK until someone... I forget who... started heckling my real self. So I 'relayed' convo from myself to this guy. A bit too quickly. I got banned and the thread with my fic was deleted at once.
THAT was pretty harsh, but I managed to set it up so Miles could return even though I couldn't. Definitely the worst time. After that I loitered and lingered and finally assumed a new identity... Fugitoid!
That lasted until the Ghosts of Whetherfield fiasco when half of OG was banned, even Spara. Course, for THEM it was only a week or so, to let cool heads prevail. But they twigged to me as well.
So I played it cool. I tried again, this time as Dr. Spoon. I didn't like being him. I tried to impersonate Spara by posting random crap, all of which had a point to it. I said there should be a story about the Ood and how they became slaves. I was laughed at. I suggested RTD had been disappointed in Torchwood. I was treated appallingly. I said the Movellans were cool. They banned me, having somehow twigged.
I managed to get my Moopy ID working as an OG account, before it became the DWF. So I was technically banned again, even though they never twigged it was me.
Luckily, in one of many contingency plans, there was a spare ID that survived the forum change and I've used it ever since, occasionally posting but often staying silent as there are few people on the forum I actually want to talk to.

Fortunately I've found plenty of things to occupy my time since my enforced DWF departure... aside from visiting here, that is.
Though I can say in all honesty I was nothing more than peeved about my ban, I didn't go into any kind of wallowing in self-pity, even if I had, I wouldn't give Shaun Lyon the satisfaction of admitting to it in public.
Doctor Who fandom doesn't begin and end with the DWF. Lyon and certain others may disagree with me, but they're wrong. And they smell.
Gosh, I could have sworn this blog was full of homophobic spamming. Spara must have used his amazing Big Brother retconning powers to make himself look more popular.

Errrrr....
I'm sure there's some utterly pointless blogs out there. I mean, I have no interest in what Lily Allen has to say for herself, for a start.
But just a picture of a bag of sweets with some arse about a psychedelic experience? Why?
That's rhetorical, by the way, I don't need a refresher on how glacier mints cause people in the fecking Chathamverse to have acid trips.
Spara, you must've been bored. Haven't you got any marking to do instead of being sat at your PC wasting your life on this shite?
I'm ashamed of myself more than anything. That since my DWF ban I'm resorting to visiting this sodding site all over again. :-(
They BANNED you?!
Those BASTARDS!

Wow. So they actually talked to you, then? I get nothing, just the 'you have been banned for the following reason/date ban lifted:never'.
Well, fuck them. I've broken into OG seven times now. And they've only busted me five times. Who's laughing now, huh?

Especially after the Boy that Time Forgot fiasco.
You've done darn well, Youth. Those DWF fascists won't be able to hold me back indefinitely...

I'm saddened to read this - seriously.

Heh.
Ta, Spara.
Tonks > Sparacus
Shaun > Everyone Ever
And that means in English...?
I think it means that Tom is a raging sycophant.
Gosh, I could have sworn this blog was full of homophobic spamming. Spara must have used his amazing Big Brother retconning powers to make himself look more popular.
How mature.
