I Met Peter Purves Today!

He was doing a book signing session to promote his new autobiography. Its an excellent read and has a whole section about his time on Doctor Who. A nice man.

Of course, if you want to do a tribute to Mr Purves, you could always write the story he longed for - a sequel to The Savages where the Doctor returns to Kastron and finds Steven's rulership has become just as corrupt as his predecessor. Course, you'd need a good working knowledge of The Savages. And it would have to be set on another planet and so Torchwood, Doomwatch and UNIT wouldn't be useable, texting would be pointless and of course Matt Smith's Doctor would have to act in a remotely Doctorish fashion...

Maybe it's too difficult a project for you.

I myself have met Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Nicola Bryant, Wendy Padbury, Katy Manning, David Banks, Mary Tamm, Mark Strickson, Barry Crocker, Frazer Hines, Deborah Watling, Gary Russell, and my relationship with Rob Shearman could fuel a sitcom. But I've not met Peter Purves.

A sequel to 'The Savages' is an interesting idea. I'll consider it.

Well, you should since you haven't been able to come up with anything else for months. I think MLock will agree with me - that's quite a drought. Or are you having a gap year too?

That's cause I'm a social animal, mate. Online I've had impressive conversations with Steve Moffat, Alan Barnes, Cav Scott and even Jym de Natale... well, with Jym it wasn't so much a conversation as a death threat, but take what you can get.
